State Assemblyman Mike Gatto Visit

January 25, 2013

Today, state assemblyman Mike Gatto visited our school’s robotics/engineering lab. Mike Gatto was recently re-elected as California’s 43rd District’s Assemblyman. To kick-off his new term he graciously spent his afternoon with us doing all sorts of activities. Although it was a short visit, our students benefited greatly from his uplifting words and actions. It was a well needed break for some of our students, in the midst of this rigorous six week build season. We thank Mike Gatto and appreciate his visit to Clark Magnet High School. We are currently in our fourth week of build season. We only have 18 more days to complete a finished robot that will be able to climb a pyramid and shoot frisbees accurately to specified goals. Although we have not started building the physical robot, we have almost completed the CAD design for the robot. Also do not forget to check our Kickstarter page by just clicking on this link team696.org/donate and contribute to our overall goal of 2,000 dollars.
