2013 Competition Recap

Everybody’s hard work finally paid off! Congratulations to our team for being successful in both regional competitions. We were finalists at the Inland Empire regional competition, but we won the Industrial Design Award. The Industrial Design Award is presented to the team whose robot is able to form and function in an efficient manner and achieve the game’s challenge. The judges who awarded us the Industrial Design Award especially liked our green gearbox that was one of our display parts in our pit. At the Los Angeles regional competition we lost in the semifinals, but won the Innovation in Control Award. The Innovation in Control Award is awarded to the team that has an innovative control system or a strong control system that works well with all of the robot’s parts. Competition is over, but the team is looking forward to next year’s season. Hopefully, it will be as good as this one!
